Maximizing Athletic Performance
Athletes most typically experience injury in one of two ways: a single traumatic episode or a cumulative effect of repetitive stress. Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma’s team of sports medicine rehabilitation therapists helps athletes recover from both scenarios.
Working in conjunction with the patient’s orthopedic physician, our sports therapists create programs that target specific muscle groups to replicate those required by the sport. Over time, the patient is able to build strength and learn how to safely execute patterns of movement.
Our sports performance team also helps athletes learn how to maximize their sports performance through strength, flexibility, and endurance training.
